Boxing No More

This blogging lark.........I was warned about it over twelve months ago by Doc Brian McIntosh.

He told me that before long 'stuff' would appear on my blog.......visitor location maps, hit counters, bells and hooters....well, I've avoided hooters thus far despite being quite a fan of the female frontal appendage.

He told me I'd be blogging at stupid hours of the night or day.

He was right. I'm not sure if that's cos he's got a mahusive brain and makes Carol Vorderman appear stupid or because he's a recovering blogophile himself, now allowing himself just the occasional foray into blogland.

Even though the Doc was right what I've avoided thus far is the obvious sign of an unrecoverable descent into blog madness of beginning a second blog (Debbie M-C has three.....she's crazy, crazy, crazy). Until now.

But before you condemn me for this wilful act of blogmania, you should know that it's been done as an act of kindness to you, Dear Reader. This blog is titled 'Subversive Running.' I think, therefore, that the reader ought to expect either some subversiveness, some running, some subversive running or some running subversiveness.

But what the reader often gets is boxing. Now boxing has been a love of mine ever since my old man used to make me stay up to watch Muhammad Ali waging war against George Foreman, Joe Frazier, Ken Norton et al, but there's possibly no place for it on a running blog- in fact Debbie M-C (Three-Blogs-Deb) has publicly stated that it's not even a sport!

This should see readers of Subversive Running spared the sight of semi-naked men punching each other, big bags full of stuff, or invisible opponents (do you like the way I've listed them in descending order of how well the average boxer performs against the opponent in front of him?)

So......I've started my other blog-BWB Boxing, A collection of bouts, sparring sessions, training sessions and general boxing stuff from the BWB Fight Network

So my first boxing free post (!!) and what do I have to say about running? Diddly squat, that's what. But I will. 'Cos I'm off to the Land of Jock for the Cateran Trail Ultra Marathon in the morning.

See ya in Scotland.

Yipee. There's no space on this blog for a non-sport like boxing.

Enjoy your trip.
